Enrolment
- Enrolments are completed annually and once confirmed, secures places in class/classes for the full duration of the school year.
- Enrolments must be confirmed in writing by the LCDC office staff.
- Enrolments and spots in classes are not confirmed until this has been sent.
- LCDC reserves the right to refuse enrolment in classes where the dancer is not at the standard required, not enrolled in pre-requisite classes, etc.
- Enrolment in the following classes is by invitation only:
- Advanced 2 Ballet
- Junior A and Junior B, Intermediate and Senior Performance Group
- Day School A & B
- Private Lessons
- To ensure students are appropriately challenged, students are placed in classes based on our assessment of ability with consideration also given to age and social development, all as determined by LCDC in consultation with the students parent. Determinations made by LCDC are final.
- An enrolment form MUST be completed for new and continuing students at the time of enrolment. An enrolment fee of $40 per student will be sent via invoice email and due before the commencement of Term or the first class. The enrolment fee includes administration and insurance cover for each dancer. This fee is applicable annually by the calendar year and is strictly non-refundable, including for change of mind.
- Any changes to enrolments and contact details must be communicated to the office staff (not teachers).
- LCDC does not accept enrolment for casual attendances unless a Class is specifically advertised as such.
- Where any fees are outstanding after the due date for payment in respect of any enrolment, LCDC reserves the right to: o Cancel and/or suspend the Enrolment;
- Refuse entry to any person(s) associated with that enrolment.
- Enrolments for all students roll over automatically between Term 2, 3 and 4.
- If a student is not returning for the next term, LCDC must be notified in writing by the end of Week 1 of term, or they will be invoiced for the full term.
- LCDC staff must be informed of any medical or other conditions of the dancer that the parent/guardian deems important for LCDC staff to be aware of. This includes all allergies, physical conditions and mental conditions. Any medical conditions that require individual medical action plans must be submitted at the time of enrolment.

- LCDC only accepts ONE enrolment contact for each student. Any information, emails, and invoices that need to be passed on to other persons is the responsibility of the ONE enrolment contact.
- The enrolment contact must advise LCDC of any changes to enrolment information for a student as soon as practicable and in writing via email to info@lisaclarkdancecentre.com.au in the first instance.
- Students must not communicate with any LCDC staff directly regarding enrolment and related matters including absences or fees. All such communication must be directed to the LCDC office staff at info@lisaclarkdancecentre.com.au
StudioLAB (applicable to all)
- In 2024, LCDC will be moving to a new studio management software called StudioLAB.
- All families will be required to register a profile in StudioLAB to enable enrolment.
- Before enrolling a student in a class, families will be required to ‘Enable Auto Payments’ by entering your credit card/debit card details where shown. By enabling this you agree to class and other chargers being applied on the due date shown for each billing period.
- Payment Plans can be administered through StudioLAB. Please make this request via email.
- 2024 is a transition year to StudioLAB, and in 2025 all payments will be required through this software.
- Please note: StudioLAB is an Australian software and is protected by all Australian policies.
- Your card details are saved in StudioLAB and protected by Stripe. This means LCDC cannot see your card details and can only process your payments through StudioLAB.
- All payments made through StudioLAB will incur a 1.75% + $0.30 fee per transaction.
- If for any reason your transaction fails, StudioLAB will automatically attempt to redraw the funds until payment is made.
Fees (applicable to all)
- An annual enrolment fee of $40 per student applies to all students (new and continuing). This fee is due at the time of enrolment and resets each calendar year.
- Fees are based on LCDC school terms. Should a term be longer or shorter than 10 weeks, no additional charge will be required, nor any refund/discount will be provided.
- Fees are charged on a per term basis (quarterly).
- Fees are charged based on class duration – 1 hr or 1.5 hours. Any classes that run for 1.25 or 1.75 hours will be rounded up to the nearest half-hour.
- By default, fees must be paid in full, unless a payment plan has been agreed upon in writing by LCDC, or applied for in the StudioLAB portal.
- Term fees are due within 14 days of the commencement of each term, or within 14 days from the invoice date for new students or updated enrolments.
- Term fees that remain unpaid after 14 days of the commencement of each term, or after due date will incur a $5.00 weekly late fee without notice. An additional $5.00 per week will be added to unpaid fees until paid.
- If after 28 days the term fees are not paid, LCDC reserves the right to refuse participation for students until fees have been paid.
- If after 35 days the term fees are not paid, a letter of demand will be sent via email to recoup the fees and the full amount is payable within 7 days from the issue of the letter of demand.
- If after 42 days accounts remain unpaid, LCDC reserves the right to take the matter to a solicitor/debt collector to recoup the fees. Any additional costs incurred from the solicitor/debt collector will be the responsibility of the persons who the invoice is made to.
- All fees must be paid in full before the commencement of the following term. Failure to settle fees before the commencement of the following term will result in participation in classes being restricted until the full amount is paid.
- LCDC reserves the right to refuse entry or class participation to students with outstanding fees.
- Term invoices and statements are issued by email and through the StudioLAB portal. It is vital that LCDC has a correct and regularly accessed email address on file.
- Families with 2 or more children will receive 10% off their total fees (excluding Performance Group, Day School, Private Lessons, etc.).
- Term fees do not include costs for costumes and accessories or annual performance fees. Also excluded are private lessons, exam coaching classes, holiday classes, exam and competition fees or any uniform items.
- Any additional costs (such as exams, costumes, competitions, etc.) will be invoiced separately from fees and are due by the due date on the invoice.
- Students with outstanding fees who have been absent for the first 4 weeks of term classes who have not communicated absences will have their enrolment force cancelled, and steps will be taken to recover outstanding fees at the parent/guardians expense.
- Fees are strictly non-refundable, and discounted fees are not provided for public holidays, extended holidays or missed classes.
- Students may request a credit for any injury or illness resulting in 4 consecutive weeks of missed classes. Requests must be in writing with a medical certificate provided.
- If students will miss classes for a minimum of four weeks due to extended family holidays, credits or a pro-rata may be provided if a request is made in writing at least 2 weeks prior to the departure date.
- Students commencing during or after Week 3 of each term will have a pro- rata applied to their fees.
- LCDC offers the following payment methods: o Cash o EFTPOS
o Visa and Mastercard. (if paying by Credit a 1.5% surcharge will apply) o Online payment through Bank Transfer for StudioLAB portal. - Cheques are not accepted.
- Payment can be made in person at LCDC during office hours.
Fees by Payment Plan (StudioLAB Auto Payments)
- Payment Plans are available upon request in StudioLAB.
- Payment Plans are incorporated into our studio management software (StudioLAB), and allows LCDC to trigger payments directly from your Credit or Debit Card, much like how you would pay for your car insurance, internet etc.
- You can request the day and frequency for payments in writing to LCDC.
- If you choose to use a Payment Plan, the first payment must be received within 14 days of the commencement of enrolment.
- If after 28 days the term fees are not paid, LCDC reserves the right to refuse participation for students until fees have been paid
- If after 35 days the term fees are not paid, a letter of demand will be sent via email to recoup the fees and the full amount is payable within 7 days from the issue of the letter of demand.

Cancellations
- Changes or cancellations to enrolments will only be accepted in writing.
- Cancellations after a term have commenced still incur full-term fees, including those opting to pay via direct debit or in instalments.
- Fees are strictly non-refundable.
- If a student drops a class, credit notes may be provided if the student is continuing with other classes.
- Credit notes cannot be transferred between students in the same family.
- Credit notes are not transferrable for cash.
- Credit notes are valid for 12 months from the issue date.
Absences & Make Up Classes
- Missed classes may be made up by attending another class of the same style and level (where applicable) or in another style of the same level. If classes of the same level are unavailable or unsuitable, students can make up classes inthe level below.
- All make up classes must be made within the term of the missed class.
- All make up classes must be arranged through the LCDC office staff.
- Refunds will not be provided for missed classes. No make up classes will be available during viewing weeks.
- Make up classes in Term 4 are very limited due to concert preparation.
- LCDC reserves the right to refuse make up classes in any classes at any time, due to the content and progression of classes at any particular time.
- Please notify LCDC by phone or email if your child will be absent from class for any reason.
- If a student is absent for 4 or more consecutive weeks due to illness or extenuating circumstances, a discount may be applied to the term fees at the discretion of the office staff. Medical certificates and other supporting documentation is appreciated.
- If students will miss classes for a minimum of four weeks due to extended family holidays, credits or a pro rata will be provided if a request is made in writing at least 2 weeks prior to departure date.
Student Safety
- Students participate in classes at their own risk. LCDC accepts no liability for any injury that may be incurred while participating in class or present at LCDC premises.
- LCDC reserves the right to arrange medical transportation, at the student’s expense, in the event of an emergency.
- The nature of dances classes requires physical student-teacher contact for the purposes of placement and correction of technique and will always be appropriate. All teachers at LCDC have ACT Working With Vulnerable People clearance.
- Students must arrive and leave LCDC premises with street clothes covering their dance clothes. Dance shoes are not to be worn outside LCDC (i.e., walking to the car.
- Children are not to exit LCDC premises unless accompanied by an adult. Parents must ensure children understand this vital regulation.
- Should students be collected from LCDC by anyone other than a parent/guardian, LCDC should be notified.
- The movement of children from parental supervision to LCDC staff supervision requires the utmost care by all parties. No child should be left without the parent being satisfied that their child is in class and/or under the care of the LCDC staff. Nor should any child be encouraged to leave care without supervision.
- When students leave LCDC premises, they are no longer under the care of LCDC.
- Students under the age of 5 should have a parent/guardian on site during class time. Please notify staff if you have to leave the premises.
- While not participating in dance class, children remain the responsibility of parents/guardians at all times. This includes siblings.
- Parents/guardians of Preschool students are required to enter LCDC premises to collect their students.
- In the event of an evacuation, LCDC staff will follow set guidelines to ensure the safety of all students. The main evacuation assembly point is on the grassed area in front of Plateau Foods. Here, dancers will be supervised and parents/guardians will be contacted to collect students.
Parking, Pick-Up & Drop-Off
- Missed classes may be made During peak hours (3:30-6pm) there is limited parking available at LCDC.
- We ask that all spots during this period are usd 10-Minute Pick-Up & Drop-Off spots to ensure a smooth flow of traffic
- Off-street parking is available
- Parents/guardians are not to park in front of the studio as this blocks access to the studio and is crucial in case of an emergency.
- Parents/guardians are not to park in the parking spaces belonging to the businesses on the block of 73 Sheppard St, nor next door at Acuform between 9am – 5:30 pm.
- Parents/guardians are not to park or wait in the cars along the driveway at any time.
- Should cars be towed, LCDC will not be held responsible.
Communication
- LCDC only accepts ONE enrollment contact for each student. Any information, emails, and invoices that need to be passed on to other persons is the responsibility of the ONE enrollment contact.
- Email is the primary form of communication at LCDC.
- Important information and updates are sent regularly via email and often via SMS to parents.
- It is recommended you add info@lisaclarkdancecentre.com.au to your email contacts.
- Should you not be receiving emails from info@lisaclarkdancecentre.com.au, Junk/Spam email should be checked as email hosting providers will filter emails differently.
- The director’s email address is no longer active for communication regarding fees, changes to enrolments, etc. All such emails must be sent to info@lisaclarkdancecentre.com.au
- The director’s email address is only to be used to discuss matters only applicable to the director.
- Hard copies of important information and newsletters are available on our notice board in the waiting areas.
- Facebook, Instagram and any other forms of social media are not accepted as valid methods of communication for any administrative purposes (including upcoming absences, general queries, etc.). These should be communicated via email or phone.
- School notices may be posted on Facebook from time to time, however, anything of direct importance to parents or students will be informed via email.
- Phone calls before or after office hours may not be answered; however, staff will endeavour to return calls within 24-48 hours.
- Emails will be answered during the week and office hours. With over 400 students, patience is appreciated. Staff will endeavour to answer all emails within 48 hours (excluding weekends).
- If for any reason parents have personal contact numbers for any LCDC staff, or have them as contacts on Social Media, they are to refrain from texting or calling unless in an emergency. Appropriate communication within regular business hours is appreciated; however, parents are encouraged to speak to the office staff directly before contacting teachers.

Classes & Timetables
- Missed classes may be made Students are not to participate in dance styles outside of LCDC if they are available at LCDC. In the event that a student takes dance classes outside of LCDC, parents are required to notify LCDC in the interest of safe dance practices.
- Students who are ill or injured may be isolated and/or sent home from class.
- LCDC will make every effort to ensure consistent teachers; however, occasionally classes may need to be taken by a substitute teacher.
- Students are expected to arrive on time for class regularly.
- LCDC reserves the right to amend or cancel classes whenever necessary.
- All classes at LCDC are closed (only the teachers and students may be in the studio during classes). Exceptions can be made for Preschool students for their first class or two, as we understand students need to settle into their new class and environment.
- Only water is permitted inside the studio. Food and other drink is only permitted in the foyer and student areas. Chewing gum is strictly prohibited in all areas.
- Students must bring a water bottle to class.
- Students are required to wear their full uniform and shoes in every class. Hair must be in a secure ballet bun for all classes. Preschool students are welcome to wear their hair in a bun, neat ponytail or secure braid. Please read the applicable uniform on our website for clarification.
- No classes or teachers are to be disturbed unless in case of emergency. Parents are not to approach teachers or students during class. If messages or food/drink/medication needs to be passed to a student, it must be done through a staff member.
- Students are not to take mobile phones or other electronic devices into class.
- Preschool, Senior School and Adult classes are term-based and operate according to LCDC’s term dates.
- Classes do not run on days that are declared as a public holiday in the ACT and, in respect of classes that fall on a public holiday:
- Students are entitled, upon request, to book in a make up class in accordance with our Make Up Terms & Conditions
Watching Classes
- In order to maintain students concentration and focus, in general, parents are not able to watch classes at LCDC. Exceptions can be made for Preschool students for their first class or two, as LCDC understands students need to settle into their new class and environment.
- LCDC offers ‘Watching Week’ in the last weeks of Term 1 for all classes.
- ‘Watching Week’ is not offered for any Ballet Classes in Term 2, as students prepare for their Class Awards/Exams. ‘Watching Week’ will be held in the week following exams for all Ballet Classes.
- ‘Watching Week’ is not offered for any Jazz/Tap Classes in Term 2, as students prepare for their Class Awards/Exams. ‘Watching Week’ will be held in the week following exams for all Jazz/Tap Classes.
- All other classes will have a ‘Watching Week’ in the final week of Term 2 – unless additional exams are held.
- There will be no ‘Watching Week’ at the end of Term 3 or Term 4 due to the end-of-year concert.
Choreography
All choreography and class work taught in class by LCDC staff or guest teachers remains the property of LCDC and may not be used without permission from the director.
LCDC Premises Etiquette
- All persons on the LCDC premises are asked to respect the space by placing rubbish in bins and leaving the kitchen, toilets and all waiting areas tidy, including returning toys and activities for siblings to their places.
- Students waiting before, between and after classes are expected to behave appropriately at these times and not run around or be excessively noisy.
- All dishes and cutlery from the café must be returned by the student before their class starts. If any messes are left, children will be asked to leave class to clean their area before they can return to class.
Looking After Our Planet
LCDC is proactive in doing our part for the planet and properly handles waste management. All persons are asked to follow our lead and dispose of all rubbish in the designated bins on the premises (rubbish and recycling).
Personal Property
- All personal items should be clearly labelled with the students name.
- All property should be sorted in the spaces provided in the dressing and warm up area.
- Lost property can be found in a plastic tub in the student area. Any items found around the studios and premises are added on a daily basis.
- Items of value (Fitbits etc) will be kept at the front desk.
- Lost property will be Lost property will be stored until the end of each term. At the end of term, all uncollected items will be donated to charities and any dance wear will be added to our second hand store.
- LCDC is not responsible for loss of personal property and will not email or SMS parents of classes in regards to any lost property items.
- LCDC accepts no responsibility for the loss of or damage to personal property of any kind.

Video & Photography
- LCDC reserves the right to photograph or video students participating in dance class or performances at any time for promotional purposes. Permission must be sought for any other photography/video.
- Any and all footage supplied to students (e.g.to assist with practice at home) remains the property of LCDC and is not to be shared with external parties without prior consent.
- Should you prefer your dancers image is not shared on social media, please let us know in writing.
Social Media Policy

Covid-19 Addition – Effective from 5th February 2024
- If your child is unwell with any symptoms of Covid-19 (fever, dry cough, fatigue) we ask you do not send them to class until fully recovered. This is to ensure the safety of all students and staff.
- Students and families must follow the guidelines from ACT Health in regards to close and casual contacts, isolation, etc.
- LCDC requires parents to list their students school, preschool, daycare or ELC at the time of enrolment for the purposes of contact tracing.
- Should LCDC become an exposure site or any students a close contact, LCDC will contact the necessary families and fully cooperate with ACT Health.
- Any students attending LCDC that live in NSW will be required to abide by the guidelines set in place by ACT Health.
- If students miss classes due to positive Covid19 tests and isolation, make up classes can be booked where a suitable class is available and depending on class limits.
- If a suitable class is not available, no refunds or credits will be provided.
- LCDC will not Zoom or host virtual classes for those absent for any reason.

- All Terms & Conditions are agreed to at the time of enrolment.
- Enrolments will not be processed without the Terms & Conditions being agreed to. No exceptions.
