Private Lessons are open to select students from Pre-Primary and their corresponding levels in Jazz, Tap and above. These private lessons will be to assist students with their learning, technique, progression and overcoming any difficulties they may have.
LCDC is proud to offer Private Lessons for students in Grade 4 or 5 and above (depending on studio availability).
Private lessons provide students with the opportunity to work one-on-one with their teachers to focus on building, developing and perfecting technique as required by each individual student. In private lessons, students are also offered the opportunity to begin working on solos with their teacher. This is a solo dance choreographed for the student in the style that best suits them, to be entered and performed in competitions etc. Students begin with one solo and build up their collection of solos over the course of time, depending on their progression in class and private lessons.
Private lessons are by invitation only, and students must be in one of the LCDC Performance Groups to be considered for private lessons. We stand by the belief that students need to learn to be part of the ‘Corps de Ballet’ or Ensemble before becoming a Soloist, as this is how the real world of dance and performing works.
Private lessons may be booked or recommended for students outside of Performance Group if students need some additional help in the lead up to exams.
All private lessons are subject to studio and teacher availability.
Private Lessons start from $35 per half-hour and are dependant on teachers.
